Bujska Malvazija

Bujska Malvazija 2025 comes from the Buje area, known for its flysch soils rich in carbonates and clay. This soil composition allows for balanced vegetative growth of the vines, optimal water supply, and steady grape ripening. The hilly sites, abundant sunlight, constant air circulation, and pronounced maritime influence further help preserve freshness, aromatic precision, and the pronounced minerality of the wine.

As part of the nationally protected PDO “Buje,” the wine carries added value through its strictly defined origin and clearly recognizable stylistic framework. It is a terroir where Istrian Malvazija traditionally reaches its highest quality potential.

The vineyard is managed using the Guyot system with low vine loads, while winemaking in the cellar follows a restrained approach. Short maceration and controlled fermentation are aimed at preserving varietal purity and the authentic expression of the terroir.

The wine has a light yellow color with golden reflections. Its aromatic profile is layered and typical of top-quality Istrian Malvazija: ripe stone fruits such as peach and apricot dominate, along with apple and pear, acacia blossom notes, subtle herbal nuances, and mineral tones. On the palate, it is dry, full-bodied, and well-rounded, with pronounced freshness and a salty-mineral character. The texture is slightly creamy, and the finish is long, precise, and rounded with a discreet almond note.

Thanks to its structure and complexity, the wine transcends the classic framework of white wines and pairs successfully with more intense dishes. Its freshness and balance allow it to maintain expressiveness even when served after robust red wines, effectively “resetting” the palate.

Bujska Malvazija is a wine with a clearly defined identity that elevates the gastronomic experience and adapts easily to a wide range of culinary pairings.
