Xtrian

Monosort wine produced in special years from the selection of the most mature grapes of Refosco from a specially selected part of the vineyard at the Veralda location. The selection is hand-picked bunches.
Vibrant, intense ruby ​​red with purple hues, dense, accentuated fruitiness. Particularly pronounced notes of ripe cherries and plums in dark chocolate with delicate spicy notes of licorice, red pepper and dark tobacco. Extremely complex and rounded, warm, velvety and rich wine in the mouth.

Fermentation with natural yeasts from the previously prepared "pied de cuve" starter method with malolactic fermentation.

Aged for a minimum of 12 months in a combination of new and neutral 225L oak barrels.
The wine terroirs, accentuated freshness and minerality, recognizable style, and very long durability in the mouth.
This wine is the first Croatian wine with a platinum medal and the title of Best in Show DWWA 2016.

 

Pairing with food

 

It pairs well with structured dishes, Istrian prosciutto, etc.
